The Sampler LO

Hi all. Wanted to share a quick LO before I go to bed. Tonight was the "Eclipse"! I had a wonderful time gushing about Edward and Jacob with my friends! I'm sure Matt was tickled pink I didn't drag him to the movies with me.

Now I want to show you a LO I did using goodies from "The Sampler" Kit for June. The new July Kit should be posted in the next few days at Scrapbooking Supplies R Us and I'm so excited to see it!

I wanted to keep my LO clean and simple.

OK now it's bedtime. My brain is on Twilight overload...need sleep : )

Keeping It Cool with Paper Garden Projects

Hi everyone. It's time for our June 4th Friday Fun Challenge from Paper Garden Projects. This month's theme is "Keeping it Cool". You can use "cool" Summer themes, cool colors, even snowmen! Whatever your idea of "cool" is, make a project and share it for you chance to win this cutie stamp from Kraftin Kimmie - Tubing Miles:

For my "cool" project I decided to make a card using cool colors, plenty of blues...and cool Summer stamp images from nature:

My stamps are the beautiful Bontanicals and Birds Stamp set available at Paper Garden Projects. I stamped the bird image and then went over areas of him with Copics and my Sakura Glitter Pen. Next up I used a small flower stamp also included in this set to make a floral boarder. My patterned paper is Pink Paislee 365 Degree. I then added some pretty pearls. My lace is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

DDSB Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone and welcome to a new challenge at Digi Doodle Shop's Best. We have a new sketch to share with you created by Kym. Take a look:

And this week we have a Sponsor:

Pear Tree Designs is sponsoring the DDSB DT this week and offering our winner a prize. The prize they will be offering for the winner is a new digital image (which has not yet been released) and also a choice of another one of their digital images. Such a great prize and plenty of super adorable digi stamps!

Now for my card:

My digi is from Pear Tree Designs. I colored my image using Copics. I also used Spellbinder Nestabilities, Papertrey Ink Stamps and Cardstock, Cosmo Cricket & My Mind's Eye Paper, and Really Reasonable Ribbon (from the June Ribbon Club).

Who likes my neat-o picture editing? See the blurry corners of my picture? Well my house was so cold, when I took my camera out in the scortching heat to photograph my card it fogged up, lol! Cheap editing!

Visit the Digi Doodle Shop to see their beautiful digital images. Judy is constantly adding more to the store. And there are still June specials and sales! And visit the Digi Doodle Shop's Best DT Blog to see my DT buddies beautiful creations!

Enjoy!

ACLP Challenge 43

Hi everyone and welcome to challenge 43 at A Crafty Little Place. This week we have a theme: create a masculine card.

The Design Team got to use the darling "Quiet Contrary" Little Boy Blue patterned paper collection from My Mind's Eye. You will fall in love with this line of paper from MME, available at the Die Cuts R Us Store.

For this masculine card, I had my Hubby in mind. I wanted to make something sweet, but not girly (wasn't easy!).

My paper is My Mind's Eye, Sentiment is from Cosmo Cricket's "Delovely" Collection, and my ribbon and lace are from Really Reasonable Ribbon. My doily is Little Yellow Bicycle.

Visit A Crafty Little Place to see the DT's beautiful creations.

Really Reasonable Ribbon "June" Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon "June" Blog Hop! If you just happened to be visiting, visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to get started. And if you're already taking part in the hop, you should have arrived from Gini's super blog.

Today I would like to share a few creations I made using the RRR June Ribbon Club assortment. Take a look at the beautiful ribbons for this month:

I was swooning when I received this package in the mail! The greens and yellows are perfect for Summer projects! Monthly ribbon club assortments are selected and pre-packaged to reflect a specific theme, color, or holiday season. The assortments vary from month to month, but an average assortment has 5-8 different ribbon styles and consists of 10-15 yards of ribbon. The total price of each monthly assortment is $9.00 and includes the shipping/handling fee too! This is a deal you don't want to miss!

Now for my projects. I adore pincushions. I think they are the cutest thing since flip flops. So I decided to use some scrap fabric, a baby food jar, buttons, and ribbon to make a pincushion. I found the tutorial at Craft Pudding, check it out for the details.

Isn't it the cutest. My main goal was to find fabric with a little green so everything would coordinate with my ribbon.

Next up a card:

I love the sentiment "Creative People Are Seldom Tidy." My Papaw recently visited and said my craft room looked like a tornado had been thru it. Does that mean I'm creative??? Or just messy!

Here is a list of the hop order:

Iwona Palamountain
Cassi Box

Kym Weber
Mindy Baxter
Gini Cagle
Amber Goble (You Are Here!!!)

DDSB Challenge # 11

Welcome to a new challenge at Digi Doodle Shop's Best. This week's challenge is to tie it up...us string, twine, floss, rafia or anything that you can tie other than ribbon.

For my card I used the Old Water Pump stamp from the Digi Doodle Shop. I'm so addicted to all their vintage stamps!

I used twine instead of ribbon. I adore twine and the rustic look it gives a card. I didn't add a sentiment to this card, which was a fight to keep from adding...but I didn't want to take away from the stamp.

And check this out:

Visit the Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge Blog to see the DT's beautiful creations. And visit the Digi Doodle Shop for some fun shopping! And there is a sale going on for the month of June plus free stamps with any purchase over $5! Summer savings, yahoo!

ACLP Challenge 42

Time for a new challenge at A Crafty Little Place! This week's challenge is to make a card, LO, or project...but the catch is it cannot be a square.

And we have a special sponsor this week, Sassy Studio Designs! I got to use Sassy Fashionista's - Denim Debbie. It was so fun colorig her, fixing her makeup and jewelry. Check out the Sassy Studio Designs Store to see all their sassy digi stamps!

Here's my card:

I used my scalloped oval Spellbinder Nestabilities to make my card. I added the beautiful Lilly Bee's "Lovely" Patterned Papers. I colored my Sassy stamp with Copics. And I added Mays Art Ribbon for the finishing touch.

The Sampler

Scrapbooking Supplies R Us has a wonderful monthly kit club called The Sampler. Today I wanted to share a look at the kit and a new project I made.

The June Kit is perfect for Summer Time, full of fun things involving travel and summer. Here's a picture of the kit:

The ribbon and embellishments are fabulous. Visit The Sampler to see a list of all the goodies in this month's kit.

I recently purchased the 7 Gypsies Artist Tray (that I got at Archivers). The idea is to use ATC in it, but I had another idea. I used it to make a 12x12 LO:

This is a picture of me and my Papaw. He is an amazing man and this picture was taken about a month ago when he came to visit the farm. I love spending time with him, he's the smartest person I know!

So I wanted to do a LO and use my Artist Tray as a frame. I simply measured and cut my 12x12 paper into rectangles, then did the same to my picture. It was like working a puzzle. All scrapbooking paper and embellishments are from The Sampler.

I then took some of the fabulous ribbon and chandelier drops from the kit and made flowers:

You can visit my tutorial for making flowers.

By adding some flowers to the actual tray and others to the trim, it gave the frame dimension.

Visit The Sampler to see more details of this month's kit.

And happy news. I have a card in the June issue of Cards Magazine, woot woot. Page 63...my new favorite number!
